Info: This bassoon sonata is written by an anonymous composer whose initials in the manuscript are unclear. Currently there are three options, it was either composed by a female composer, Giovanni Antonio Santoni, or Giovanni Antonio Bertoli. This sonata is one of the first solo works ever written for bassoon, and is a fantastic new addition to our Italian baroque repertoire

Info: This edition of "Potpourri" is based on the orchestra parts from the first edition, dated 1818. It is written for: bassoon solo, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, bassoon, 2 horns, 2 trumpets, timpani, and strings. It is written in C-major, and got the following sections: Adagio, Allegretto (variation movement), Alla Polacca. The piece is dedicated to Anton Romberg (1771-1844), son of the composer's bassoon teacher Bernhard Anton Romberg.

Info: An almost never performed Concerto in C-Major by Graupner, excellently restored by Maurus Conte. This edition is as close to the original manuscript as possible. It also contains a preface with explanations to some questionable passages.

Info: This Fantasia is scored for solo bassoon and orchestra. The orchestra is: 1 flute, 2 clarinets in B flat, 2 bassoons, 2 horns, violins I, violins II, violas, cellos, and double basses. The composition begins with an Introduction (Andante - Allegro assai) followed by the main theme (Andante) and 5 variations (var. 3, Più vivo - var. 4, Largo - var. 5, Allegro).

This Urtext edition intends to reproduce the first edition as exactly as possible, after a detailed analysis of the complete set of orchestral parts

Info: This critical edition of the Grand Concerto Op. 67 composed by Georg Abraham Schneider, is based on the set of orchestra parts from the first edition, dated 1815. The composer dedicated this piece to his friend and bassoonist Carl Baermann (1782-1842). 

Duration: ca. 25-27 minutes. Movements: Allegro Moderato, Adagio, Allegro. It is scored for: bassoon solo, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 horns in C, 2 trumpets in C, timpani and strings.
